Experience Ottawa County (EOC) is hosted every year in August by the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation and is our premier marketing event. The purpose of EOC is to bring local business leaders, County and community leaders, elected officials, and prospective clients together to demonstrate that Ottawa County is a great place to expand existing business and relocate new business.
This year’s Experience Ottawa County was held on Thursday, August 17 at The Keys on Put-in-Bay. Nearly 230 people gathered together throughout the day for professional development and business networking. The OCIC hosted a luncheon where an interactive discussion on the topic “How to Set Sail Towards a Productive Work Culture” addressed ways to combine your company’s vision and mission with your business culture. Jack Hollister, President of the Employers’ Association, discussed how to build a desirable work culture, identify values, and challenged attendees with implementing strategies to retain talent. OCIC also hosted its fifth annual “Taste of Ottawa County” with an Island Style twist, featuring island food and beverages from local businesses. OCIC extends a special thank you to all of our sponsors for helping make this another successful event.
