According to Andy Ouriel, staff reporter for Sandusky register, the Erie/Ottawa County International Airport will be receiving two grants. The state grant worth $1 million will be used for lighting upgrades. This will allow for more reliable lighting and reducing energy consumption. The federal grant worth $3.5 million will be used for linking the airports two taxiways.
