The Ottawa County Improvement Corporation held their 2nd Quarter Trustee Meeting on Tuesday, June 19 at Schedel Arboretum and Gardens.
OCIC Trustee and Associate members, Ottawa County Commissioners were in attendance. Jamie Beier Grant, OCIC Director, gave an update on current OCIC activities, including business retention and expansion overview, rhythm of outreach for new business attraction, workforce development and OhioMeansJobs analysis. A healthy dialogue was had during the meeting between educators and business representatives regarding workforce. Jamie touched on the Business Advisory Council efforts which included the CEO Internship Program, the Senior Job Fair and the Ohio Department of Education initiative: “Ottawa County: It’s All Here” campaign.
