YouScience – Don’t Miss this Opportunity to Connect your Business to Students!

Through the work of the Ottawa County Business Advisory Council (BAC) hosted by the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation (OCIC) and North Point Educational Service Center, all six of our Ottawa County School Districts are now subscribed to a new resource to help connect our labor pool to YOU through the platform – YouScience.

Now, for the first time, companies are being permitted to register on the YouScience system, making your company more visible to high school students! The Employer Connection Portal is a platform to assist Ottawa County students to become aware and better understand the businesses in our community.

In collaboration with all six Ottawa County schools, the Business Advisory Council and the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation is working with employers to do student company tours, employer in-school visits, and a variety of programs such as our Skilled Trades Academy, CEO (Career Engagement Opportunity) Internship Program, Teacher Bootcamps, the annual Career Showcase event and more upcoming high school student employment education opportunities.

What is YouScience?

YouScience is an aptitude-based career guidance tool being used by our Ottawa County School Districts to help students identify best-fit careers. This assessment is not just a career interest based assessment like what has typically been used in the past. YouScience actually lets students know what they are naturally good at and what careers align with their aptitudes!

How Does it Work?
